One of gSource’s Instrument Repair Technicians, Luis Ortiz, discusses those services.
“We sharpen and refurbish instruments, replace springs and screws, and even remove color coding and etching. However, these services are available for more than just gSource instruments, but all other instrument brands,” says Ortiz. “gSource has a list of specific instrument families and corresponding prices for repairs, but those are simply the most popular instrument repairs requested. Many customers inquire about items that are not on the price list, so we’re ready to repair or refurbish nearly any type of surgical instrument.”
The gSource Repair Center was opened in 2017 in response to the needs of gSource customers for quality instrument repairs at reasonable prices with quick turnaround time. Rather than send an item to a separate repair facility with potentially long lead times, customers can have instruments refurbished and repaired from the same company that provides the instruments. Luis believes that the gSource Repair Center, just like gSource instruments, is built on a foundation of quality.
