gSource countersinks are manufactured from high quality German surgical stainless steel. Countersinks are primarily used in orthopedic surgery for fracture management in order to reduce stress concentration on the bone caused by the screw head. Countersinking helps to ensure the screw head only protrudes minimally from the surface of the bone to help reduce risk of tissue irritation. Patterns available include a quick coupling end or a t-handle and are available in different sizes for various screw sizes.
