Pin Pulling Instruments
gSource pliers are crafted from high quality German surgical stainless steel and are used to implant and remove pins and wires during orthopedic surgery involving fixation of internal fractures. They have excellent gripping power and are also used to pull, twist, cut and tighten wires, pins and rods. Available in a variety of patterns including flat nose, needle nose, round nose, parallel, slip joint, locking, and nail pulling. Slaphammers are available for some patterns of regular and needle nose pliers. Also available with tungsten carbide in working end jaws on some patterns which is stronger and more resistant to “metal-on-metal” wear than stainless steel working end jaws. One pattern is available with replaceable PEEK inserts on working end jaws to help eliminate “metal-to-metal” contact and grasp an implant, or other delicate materials and devices, without scratching or impairing the surface.
